Shows

The canine shows to are not properly spoken a "activity". Admittedly, the dog (and the owner) must know their "job": the dog goes with a covering pace (i.e. that the print of the back leg comes to be placed in that of the leg before or that the dog trottine) on the left of his owner, who must maintain to him the lead of the dog tended a little but not too... In short: a whole poême!

Aah !.. The shows !...
You have to like! But Well will speak to you about it better than me!

It is better totry to go there with friends because alone, sometimes, it is not a super environment... There are certain participants who take it a little bit too th heart ; -) But for impassioned which adores speech about dog, it is the dreamed place! And for the dogs, it is full with hugs and "Ôwhatabeautyyyy!"... Yes but thus stop touching me with your hands full with fingers, beurk!!! :-)

Environment is often "special" around the accesses of the ring (the place where the dogs are presented at the judge) and the judgements not always very clear beacause inevitably subjective... It is true that it is a little the "goodwill" of certain breeders, who come there for the recognition and to make turn their business and which for some, it is commercially very important to obtain a qualifier whereas for another, it will just be maddening.

You will have understood it : we are not very fan :-) But the advantage of the shows is also to be able to compare itself (while agreeing of course to call itself in question and to be objective) to the other producers, with the other dogs and the standard of the race. And then, there are sometimes good surprises, meeting people sympathetic with whom the current passes and one can share his passion for the dog and spend a good day.

Don't let be impressed either by the progressively growing dirtiness with the day... In spite of the instructions, the dustbins and sometimes even the bags gracefully distributed at the reception to sensitize the owners with the fact that it does not cost them much to collect the dejections of their dog but how that can make enormously for the general quality of the environment of the show, some even the majority remain completely hermetic! It is a pity well!!

Having a civilized mom, we were right to a ton of disgusted glances even of disagreeables remarks... but mom does not let them tell : she attacks "perhaps, you prefer that I put it directly on your shoes, as that it will be made??" It would be necessary that I think of taking a muzzle to her the next time, what a reputation she makes us, nevertheless! :-) Good of agreement, there is a service of cleaning but nevertheless!.. A small effort of each one simplifies much the life of the others! (which phylosophe I make, on the blow!)

Well!.. that, they were the black spots! :-) Now, how happens one day from show?

You arrive in a place full with dogs, people, cars... One parks then direction to the reception to seek the various documents (show catalogues, rings, list of the judges, number of exhibitor...) then research of the ring which interests us, of the order and the schedule of passage and a cage not too far to pose the businesses... It is barbarian? That not! It is cool, the cage!! There at least, nobody comes to touch me!!

Then, according to the schedule envisaged, that is to say it is the race to be done beautiful, to comb themselves, work a little with mom to be ready while arriving on the ring or then it east strolls in the show!

When arrives the hour of the passage, one waits wisely beside the ring, one discusses, one jokes, one listens to the results... one comments on :-) The whole while waiting for that the judge calls us.

When our turn comes, one presents oneself on the ring and one listens to the intruction of the judge who dictates his impressions with the secretary. In less than 10 minutes, the business is buckled! One sets out again with the judgement and perhaps a small paperboard allowing us to go then on the ring of honor, at the end of the day... One finished!

If there is chance and that one was sufficiently in vain and representative of the race, one will pass once again in front of a judge, on the boxing ring of honor where are indicated at the best end of the day of each group (me, I am in group 5, as you saw on the standard) then the best dog of the exposure.

One recovers also the batches gained in the course of the day... If one has some and here! It is 6pm, one arrived towards 8:30am the morning, one is burst!... Fortunately, tomorrow, it is Monday, mom goes to the job and me, I will be able to sleep! : -)

4 points / 6 : RECOMMANDED

as cotation 3 (CONFIRMED subject + 3 EXCELLENTS classed in Intermediate Open or Champion Class, with 2 of them in a SPecial on breed or Regional breeding show or France championship or National breeding show with 3 differents judges) but an EXCELLENT classed has to be obtained in National breeding show

Hip dysplasia A or B

complete pedigree

5 points / 6 : ELITE B

CONFIRMED subject that produced in first generation 3 dogs of cotation 3 with 2 differents female for a male / in 2 differents litters for a female

6 points / 6 : ELITE A

RECOMMANDED subject (4 points) that produced in first generation 3 dogs of cotation 3 with 2 differents female for a male / in 2 differents litters for a female

Confirmation " à titre initial" for a keeshond

To obtain the confirmation "à titre initial" of your keeshond, you only have to :

- obtain an EXCELLENT or REALLY GOOD in a show (dog more than 12 months)

- have a hip dysplasia result A or B

Some remarks...

You will notice that a confirmed dog on a purely initial basis could not have the quotations 3 or 6... but it could have the quotations 5! :-)

You will also notice that you can reach directly quotations 3, 4 or 5 without passing by lower quotations.

And you will notice finally that separately the dysplasy of the hips but taken all the same into account with a certain lattitude, the aspects health are not considered for the quotation of the parents.
